Frequently asked questions
Why don’t you show prices or star ratings?
Prices on Amazon change constantly, and Amazon’s rules only allow sites to show prices and customer ratings taken directly from Amazon’s own data feed. Rather than show numbers that could already be wrong, every product has a button that opens its Amazon page, where you see today’s price.
Have you tested every product you recommend?
No, and we say so. Most picks rest on what can be checked: the manufacturer’s published specifications, compatibility and support lists, standards and warranty terms, all linked from each guide. Our hands-on experience — running AI models daily on a 12 GB RTX 3080 — is written up separately in our field notes.
Where do the specs come from?
From the maker first: spec sheets, product pages and support documents. Every product page links the source we used and the date we checked its Amazon listing, and each buying guide lists its sources at the end. Where the maker’s page didn’t show a spec, we say “not listed” instead of guessing.
Why are the product pictures drawings?
Product photos belong to their makers and to Amazon, and we only show images we have the right to use. Until we can show Amazon’s official images through its own tools, each product has a simple drawing of its type — a graphics card, a monitor, a mouse — and the product page says so. The real photos are one click away on the Amazon listing.
How does TechWise Co make money?
Through Amazon affiliate links. If you buy something after clicking one, Amazon may pay us a small commission. Commissions don’t decide what we recommend. Details on the affiliate disclosure page.
Does buying through your links cost me more?
No. You pay the same price on Amazon whether you use our link or not.
Which country are the links for?
Our links go to amazon.com, the US store. Availability, versions and warranty terms can differ in other countries.
How do I compare products across guides?
Each category page has filters and side-by-side tables, and every product page compares it with the others of its kind. All products puts everything in one list with a search box. Guides also open their picks with an “At a glance” table.
How current are the guides?
Every guide shows the date it was last updated, under its title. Specs and product listings change, so check the details on the product page before you buy.
